GENERAL SUBMISSION INFORMATION:
The Quarry is a student-edited literary and fine arts magazine that publishes the writing and artwork of St. Olaf students. The Quarry produces and distributes one full-color magazine annually during the spring semester. A digitalized version of the publication is also published on The Quarry website: www.thequarrymag.com.
Spring 2017 submission period: February 8 - March 5
Submissions will be reviewed by the editorial staff throughout the month of March. Notices will be sent in early April disclosing publication decisions.
The Quarry accepts works of poetry and prose in any genre, including fiction, creative nonfiction, and essays. For longer works, excerpts may be considered.
A maximum of five literary submissions will be accepted per student. Files should be submitted as PDFs to firstname.lastname@example.org. When sending submissions, please include each piece as a separate file attachment. Please begin each file label with your last name, followed by the title of the piece, and then the number submission.

The Quarry accepts works of visual art in all media, including photography, drawings, paintings, 3D art.
The Quarry will also consider video art and other non-print media for our online publication.
The Quarry offers a documentation session for student artwork. Documentation session will be held February 19th from 3-6pm.
A maximum of five artistic submissions will be accepted per student. Files should be submitted as High Resolution JPGs, flattened TIFFs, or PNGs to email@example.com. When sending submissions, please include each piece as a separate file attachment, and begin each file label with your last name, followed by the title of the piece. Artwork dimensions should also be included with your submission.

The Quarry will also consider performance works and dance to be showcased both or either in our online publication and gallery show at the end of April and beginning of May.
Please submit a good quality video of your work or link to your work to be performed.
A maximum of five artistic submissions will be accepted per student. Files should be submitted as .mp4 videos or high quality vimeo/youtube links to firstname.lastname@example.org.
